Responsibilities & Context:
Job Purpose:
To plan, coordinate and optimize the distribution of chicks and feed, ensuring timely delivery, cost efficiency, route optimization and maintenance of quality standards across the supply chain network.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute daily, weekly and monthly distribution plans based on production capacity, stock availability, customer demand and placement schedules to ensure uninterrupted supply and on-time delivery.
Plan and implement effective logistics strategies to manage product movement and coordinate with transporters, suppliers and distribution teams for seamless operations.
Analyze distribution cost per DOC, per metric ton of feed, per kilometer and per route to identify cost drivers and implement cost optimization initiatives.
Identify cost-saving opportunities. Monitor budget vs. actual logistics expenses and provide variance analysis.
Conduct route, vehicle utilization and delivery lead-time analysis to identify operational inefficiencies and implement preventive and corrective action plans.
Compare forecast vs actual distribution and analyze region-wise service performance to support accurate planning and improvement.
Identify short supply / over supply trends.
Identify short-supply and over-supply trends and recommend proactive measures for demand–supply balancing.
Develop data-driven insights and performance reports to support management decision-making.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance logistics efficiency, service level and resource utilization.
Ensure compliance with company policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), bio-security requirements and applicable laws and regulations.
