Responsibilities & Context:

Plan, manage, and execute the procurement of construction materials, equipment, and services in accordance with project requirements.

Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers and subcontractors to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.

Prepare and process purchase requisitions (PR), requests for quotation (RFQ), comparative statements (CS), purchase orders (PO), and work orders.

Conduct market research to obtain competitive prices and identify alternative sourcing opportunities.

Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranties, and contractual conditions with suppliers and contractors.

Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, contractual obligations, and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

Coordinate with engineering, project management, site, store, finance, and accounts teams to ensure uninterrupted project execution.

Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, and order status to avoid project delays.

Verify material specifications, quality standards, and compliance with approved BOQ, drawings, and technical requirements before procurement.

Manage procurement budgets and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.

Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, contracts, quotations, and purchasing documentation.

Evaluate supplier quotations and prepare comparative analyses to support management decision-making.

Resolve procurement-related issues, including shortages, delays, quality concerns, and supplier disputes.

Coordinate import procurement and customs-related documentation where applicable.

Monitor inventory levels and recommend replenishment to prevent stock shortages or overstocking.

Ensure proper contract administration, supplier performance evaluation, and vendor relationship management.

Prepare procurement reports, purchasing forecasts, and management updates.

Work closely with internal audit and finance teams to ensure procurement transparency and compliance.

Possess sound knowledge of construction materials, including cement, steel, bricks, aggregates, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, finishing, and MEP materials.

Ensure proper compliance with TDS, VDS, VAT, tax regulations, and other statutory requirements related to procurement transactions.

Perform any other procurement-related duties assigned by management.
