Job Responsibilities:
∎ Operational and reporting activities:
∎ Assist Head of Internal Audit in development and implementation of risk based internal audit strategy and annual audit plan at HCMP.
∎ Lead HCMP audit team in critical audit assignments in field level and report audit observations in constructive / business perspective manner.
∎ Developing the annual compliance work plan that reflects the institution's highest risks that will be monitored by the compliance function as determined by conducting a mandatory annual risk assessment.
∎ Ensure quality of audit reports and meet management expectation through meeting, discussion with management along with proper documentation.
∎ Ensuring preservation of sufficient and appropriate documentation against audit findings.
∎ Preparation of documents for debriefing to different senior management.
∎ Developing policies and programs that encourage audit officials to report suspected fraud and other improprieties without fear of retaliation.
∎ Providing guidance to the board of directors, senior management, staff, and employees on compliance.
∎ Preparation and submission of executive summary of internal audit observations by scrutinizing Quarterly/monthly audit reports of BRAC HCMP programme.
∎ Provide advisory support to the management.
∎ Communication and team building:
∎ Communicate with different zone, division and section within the department for successfully implementation of annual audit plan;
∎ Maintain co-ordination with Programmes and other department for audit related matters and regarding update of circular during the year.
∎ Exchange views and satisfy queries of junior audit staffs and supervisor for smooth operation of IAD.
∎ Safeguarding:
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 5 years of work experience in audit & assurance services or fresh with proven technical knowledge in Finance, Audit, Risk and Compliance
∎ Additional Job Requirements:
∎ Have sound knowledge of IIA Standards, Internal Audit, IAS, IFRS, Risk Management, Finance, Accounts and Compliance.
∎ Strong leadership and people management skill
∎ Have excellent skills in communications and stakeholder management
∎ Have a good command in MS Office applications
∎ Innovative, Improvising and analytical ability, pro-active, self-starter
