∎ JOB PURPOSE: This position is responsible for leading, coordinating, and implementing the organisation`s safeguarding policies and standards across Humanitarian Crisis Management programme (HCMP), BRAC through collaboration with SGMC and Inquiry Team. It will also involve with all mediation, feedback and outcome follow up, review the inquiry report and submit it to the Forum. In addition, it will provide consultancy services, including the incident reporting and response mechanism as appropriate to different stakeholders.
∎ SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation to achieve the program`s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote, and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, and encourage others to do so.
∎ Work with programme managers to establish and ensure community-level complaints mechanisms that facilitate reporting of harm and abuse

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Lead the overall functions of investigation including safeguarding and PSEA (Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) related complaints for Humanitarian Crisis Management Programme (HCMP) in accordance with organization policy and guidelines.
∎ Ensure proper risk assessment of complaints received and implement mitigation plan with the support of programme management, HR and safeguarding team.
∎ Review and develops tools, guidelines, SOPs to support sectors/ programmes to implement safeguarding /PSEA mandates. Establish an effective reporting channels to build trust around response systems.
∎ Design and conduct training sessions on workplace conflict & mediation under the leadership of the chair of Safeguarding and Grievance Management Committee (SGMC) to create awareness & mitigate future conflicts & disputes. Set up the mediation framework and implement in HCMP.
∎ Plan and ensure capacity building of employee, volunteer and associated personnel on the safeguarding and other policies including the Code of Conduct etc. in collaboration with safeguarding team and HR.
∎ Support safeguarding focal to ensure safeguarding and PSEA aspects are incorporated in the lifecycle of operations, including the designing, implementation and monitoring phase of the programme.
∎ Liaise and collaborate with Safeguarding team, HR, Compliance team and other relevant stakeholders to gather information, provide updates.
∎ Ensure proper reporting for senior management, donors and board on grievance management including safeguarding responses.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Knowledge on current practices, standards, technical aspects of Safeguarding and PSEA
∎ Have good understanding on programme /sector operations in the community level and capacity building of them.
∎ Facilitation skills and experience on development of modules, communication materials
∎ Able to plan an investigation and has the requisite skills to participate in an investigation, preparing report with agreed format.
∎ Interpersonal, Communication and presentation skills.
∎ Able to present information analysis to senior management and external stakeholders.
∎ Able to policy writing, report writing and case study writing.
∎ Sound understanding and concern on diversity and inclusiveness.
∎ Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
