Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Design and pilot crop diversification programs that address the needs of microfinance clients, ensuring they are accessible, feasible, and financially sustainable for smallholder farmers.
∎ Coordinate with agricultural experts, government agencies, NGOs, and stakeholders to integrate the latest research and best practices into the program.
∎ To develop and prepare project proposals as required and document them appropriately.
∎ To evaluate the need and effectiveness of interventions based on geographical context.
∎ To organise the procurement of all interventions as per contract including preparation and review of budget where required.
∎ To ensure regular work progress, reporting, support, communication, evaluation and monitoring with various stakeholders.
∎ To maintain effective liaison with both internal and external stakeholders for receiving proper support as per need.
∎ To prioritise in completing the ongoing projects within the shortest possible time while planning and implementing new projects and interventions.
∎ To work with field personnel to address and resolve any issues related to work.
∎ To conduct regular field visits and engage constructively with relevant stakeholders
∎ To take responsibility in selecting areas and processing necessary interventions securing facilities for agricultural/ farm mechanisation projects and conducting all activities towards their implementation under own accountability.

∎ Job Purpose
∎ Improve the economic conditions for marginal farmers through seeking out innovative partnerships, escalating farm mechanisation & climate-smart agricultural initiatives, ensuring proper utilization of fallow lands, promoting sustainably local production.

∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
