∎ JOB PURPOSE
∎ Driving initiatives under the senior director`s strategic guidance, staying informed about the organisation`s developments provides substantial support to achieve objectives efficiently. Ensure proper documentation and capture the knowledge of overall national and global development.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Set priorities and manage time: Support the Senior Director to identify priorities and help align her/his time accordingly; revisit them regularly to assess progress; identify critical tasks delegated to other cluster members and support the Senior Director in such delegation.
∎ Strategic support to the Senior Director : Support and advise Sr. Director on the day-to-day operational issues of strategic importance.
∎ Synthesise incoming documents and prepare short briefing notes
∎ Act as the one touchpoint for the Sr. Director and participate in various meetings and consultations to brief him to keep him updated on downstream information.
∎ Remain accessible to all staff seeking Sr. Directors appointments, learn their concerns, and brief the Sr. Director regarding importance and priorities
∎ Support Sr. Director in preparing strategic notes and high-level presentations
∎ Technical support to the cluster: Supporting Senior director, associate director and programme heads in developing strategy & organisational development and long-term growth portfolio of Senior Director's cluster advocacy, technology, social innovation lab and migration.
∎ Support the preparation of internal/external engagements: Help the Sr. Director plan meetings/retreats/engagements to ensure shared vision and objectives; prepare talking points, summaries, and briefing materials to effectively help the Senior Director contribute in internal/external meetings, workshops and such engagements; reflect field-level knowledge, on-the-ground experience of BRAC colleagues, and academic/non-academic studies in any such briefing materials.
∎ Coordinate Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEAL): Ensure quality of M&E related data collected throughout programme implementation for initiated projects with the help of M&E Manager
∎ Support/facilitate learning processes and integration with Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEAL ) within projects and programmes.
∎ Lead the analysis of quantitative and qualitative field data for specific projects and meta-analysis of impact across the grant portfolio.
∎ Coordinate knowledge Management: Foster knowledge utilisation and uptake, and provide support to develop a centralised knowledge repository with the help of Manager, Knowledge management, to serve as a resource for the programme.
∎ Internal Engagement: Ensure engagement with all the programmes/support function of AIM cluster and keep herself/himself updated on the ongoing critical projects and issues.
∎ SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
∎ Ensure team members' safety from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's safeguarding implementation goals. Act as a critical source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure if any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 5 years of relevant experience is required
∎ Effective Managerial Practice, team building & leadership skill.
∎ Effective communication (verbal and written)
∎ Negotiation skills
∎ Excellent interpersonal communication skill acquired from organisational involvement and employment in different cross-cultural environments
∎ Excellent communication ability in both Bangla and English.
∎ Overall public policy landscape and development nexus of Bangladesh and beyond.
