Skills Required:
Additional Requirements:
- Age At least 30 years
- Minimum 7 years of experience in import activities (preferably in RMG).
- Strong knowledge of LC procedures, customs regulations, HS Code, and import policy.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP software
- Good communication and negotiation skills in both English and Bangla.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Responsibilities & Context:
- Handle all import-related activities including LC opening, amendments, retirement, and payment follow-up with banks.
- Coordinate with suppliers, C&F agents, shipping lines, and internal departments to ensure smooth import operations.
- Maintain proper documentation for import activities as per company policy and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor shipment schedules, follow up on timely clearance of goods, and resolve any issues with customs.
- Ensure compliance with Bangladesh Bank, Customs, and other regulatory authorities.
- Prepare and maintain reports related to import activities for management review.
- Support the Commercial Manager in daily operational tasks and process improvement.
