Job Responsibilities:
∎ To oversee the operations and smooth functioning of the technical department of the Dhaka Office for Gerry Weber Far East Ltd.
∎ To implement effectively and establish the Standard Quality processes of Gerry Weber among all Gerry Weber suppliers across product groups
∎ To act as the first point of contact for the Regional Manager Quality and the Head Office for quality and technical issues
∎ Team and personnel management of the technical team in Bangladesh
∎ To continuously improve the quality performance for all suppliers and according to the requirements of the Gerry Weber brands
∎ To identify potential risks through critical path analyses during product development and work along with the technical teams and merchandising to ensure that proper processes are in place to avoid quality problems in production
∎ Recommending garment construction and engineering changes in the pre production stage for more cost effective manufacturing
∎ To ensure that quality of Sales Man Samples meet brand expectations and any issues are properly communicated and resolved
∎ In case of final inspections to ensure product meets expected quality standards and in case of non compliance to raise effectively and communicate and resolve such issues with the Regional Manager Quality
∎ To have an overview of critical areas in current production and ensure proper action is being taken to resolve the same
∎ Build and maintain solid working relationships with all colleagues, communicating with them on all production issues.
∎ Utilize all internal support systems and ensure that efficient and effective forms, reports and other administrative tools are being employed to control all technical responsibilities.
∎ Be aware of Gerry Weber Social Compliance Guidelines and communicate any notice irregularities towards relevant persons in charge
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 30 years
∎ Hands-on ability to conduct inspections (sample & bulk)
