Educational Requirements:
∎ Masters in any discipline from any recognised university/ institutions with minimum second class/ division or equivalent GPA/ CGPA in all academic examinations

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Oversee implementation of Urban Development Programme (UDP) interventions at the regional level keeping alignment with the UDP objectives
∎ Guide and supervise Field Coordinators to ensure all regional level targets are met according to annual plan.
∎ Maintain strong communication and networking with the other BRAC programmes, NGO's and government agencies for ensuring coordinated service delivery
∎ Maintain collaboration with city/ municipality authority, UDD, Rajuk, KDA, CDA, RDA for programme implementation
∎ Assist the knowledge management and programme development team to design interventions for addressing urban challenges
∎ Maintain liaison with Mayor, councilor's, city/ municipality authority for ensuring service delivery
∎ Organise and manage regular team meetings with field staffs, informal catch up meetings and external meetings as
∎ Monitor progress of the project and ensure smooth field delivery of the activities
∎ Identify, plan and organise capacity development trainings/ workshops of the field staffs (urban development)
∎ Prepare monthly, quarterly progress reports and share with the Head Office
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 5 years' experience with NGOs or international development organisation, including 3 years' experience in the urban poverty reduction/ livelihoods/ planning and governance project or programme
∎ Demonstrated ability to successfully manage large scale and complex projects
∎ Have knowledge on current national and global development trends related to urban poverty and urban development
∎ Competence in analysing the social and gender dynamics within urban set up
∎ Have skills on community organising and social mobilisation.
∎ Excellent communication, presentation, organisation and negotiation skills
∎ Skills in documentation, facilitation & reporting
∎ Strong analytical skills and possess a proven track record of working successfully in a variety of cultural contexts
∎ Awareness of political processes and protocols
