Responsibilities & Context:
Perform structural analysis and design of RCC residential and commercial buildings.
Design and detail foundations, columns, beams, slabs, staircases, shear walls, pile caps, and other RCC structural elements.
Develop structural models and perform analysis using ETABS and SAFE.
Calculate and apply Dead Load, Live Load, Wind Load, Earthquake Load, and relevant load combinations.
Prepare structural drawings, reinforcement detailing, sections, and construction details.
Prepare and verify Bar Bending Schedule (BBS) and reinforcement quantities.
Coordinate structural drawings with Architectural, Electrical, Plumbing, and MEP drawings.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure construction is carried out according to approved structural drawings and specifications.
Inspect reinforcement placement, formwork, concrete cover, lap length, development length, anchorage, and other RCC works before casting.
Supervise and monitor concrete pouring, slump testing, cube testing, and overall concrete quality control.
Review contractors’ shop drawings, structural submissions, and construction methods.
Identify structural and construction-related issues at site and provide appropriate technical solutions.
Prepare and review structural BOQ, quantity take-off, material requirements, and cost estimates.
Prepare structural calculation sheets, inspection reports, technical reports, and other project documentation.
Review and prepare As-Built Structural Drawings when required.
Coordinate with Project Engineers, Site Engineers, Architects, Contractors, Consultants, and other project team members.
Ensure structural works comply with applicable codes, approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
