Education:

Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Food Technology, Food Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Pharmacy, or a related science discipline. (Degrees or certifications in Supply Chain/Logistics are a plus but not mandatory if science criteria are met).

Responsibilities & Context:

Quality Control & Food Safety:

  • Check all analytical reports of Raw Materials (RM), Packaging Materials (PM), and bulk products as per standard operating procedures (SOPs).

  • Ensure the quality of finished products and authorize disbursement/shipment only when they strictly meet established standards.

  • Prepare reagents, verify their strength for analytical works, and perform calibration and maintenance of QC instruments and laboratory apparatus.

  • Monitor hygiene, sanitation, and food safety practices across the production floor, ensuring proper application of cleaning agents.

  • Oversee online QC tracking, monitor pest control activities, and ensure healthy sanitary conditions across all facilities.

  • Troubleshooting issues on the line, take immediate corrective actions, and prepare formal reports on refused/rejected products.

  • Maintain accurate QC documentation, check retention samples regularly, and support the implementation of regulatory systems (HACCP, ISO, BSTI standards).

Warehouse & Inventory Management:

  • Supervise day-to-day warehouse operations, including the safe receipt, storage, handling, and dispatch of raw materials, packaging, and finished food products.

  • Ensure all stored materials strictly adhere to proper food safety storage guidelines (e.g., First-In, First-Out [FIFO] or First-Expired, First-Out [FEFO] practices, temperature controls, etc.).

  • Maintain real-time, accurate inventory records of all stock movements using ledger books or inventory management software.

  • Coordinate seamlessly with the production and procurement teams to ensure required materials are available to prevent line downtime.

  • Organize the warehouse layout to optimize spatial efficiency, cleanliness, and ease of material handling.C

  • onduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile discrepancies with records.

Procurement, Sourcing & Purchase:

  • Handle end-to-end sourcing and purchase of Raw Materials (RM) and Packaging Materials (PM) required for production.

  • Identify reliable vendors, negotiate competitive pricing, manage credit terms, and establish strong supplier relationships.

  • Track material lead times and consumption rates to ensure raw materials are purchased and delivered on time, preventing production downtime.

  • Evaluate vendor performance based on material quality, delivery reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
