Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Charka Training planning, training organization and follow up & monitoring
∎ Ensure the training facilities, training materials and charka distribution to training completed Rohingya women
∎ Waste cocoon demand planning, sourcing, carrying and preservation
∎ Ensure the regular activity of waste cocoon boiling, drying, small packing and supply to the individual charka spinners
∎ Ensure endi lachi/ yarn production by the individual spinners, receive the endi lachi and record keeping
∎ Ensure the wages payment based on endi lachi production quantity and grade
∎ Quality control of endi lachi produced by charka spinners
∎ Regular field visit, problems identification and immediate solution provide
∎ Ensure the weekly/ monthly refresher for skill development of charka spinners
∎ Production report preparation, liaison and coordination with all concerned peoples
∎ Awareness building of Gender issue and safe guarding issues as per safe guarding policy
∎ Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so
∎ Project Officer, Spinning is responsible for community mobilization, employment creation and income generation for Rohingya women through training and necessary logistic support for charka spinning and endi lachi/ yarn production.
