Responsibilities & Context:
∎ To ensure effective support, the Technical Specialist will be responsible for providing technical support to case management and psychosocial support unit, supervising the senior psychologists, case workers to ensure case management and psychosocial support, develop material, working on research, providing training and workshop on psychosocial components, develop and roll out supervision to senior psychologists and relevant staff along with monitoring the activities of the centers and providing with a vibrant team and be responsible to ensure the protection of vulnerable and heighten protection concerns children and their caregiver.
∎ Assist and technical supervision to the senior psychologists, senior case workers and caseworker to the identification of child protection concerns and ensure the specialized service of case management and PSS.
∎ Technical guidance and assistance to senior psychologist, senior case worker and case worker to prepare an action plan for each vulnerable child that responds to assess the initial needs and comprehensive assessments and seek the support of the case management and psychosocial unit.
∎ Project design, proposal development, and narrative report development.
∎ Training facilitation on psychosocial support, develop the module and deliver to the senior psychologist team.
∎ Expert knowledge and experience of mhGAP training, Problem Management (PM +), Child Protection and MHPSS.
∎ Proper knowledge on Para Counselors Model, Psychological First Aid (PFA).
∎ Strong coordination, linkage, networking, accessible referral pathway, and communication with humanitarian agencies and government official to implement the cases.
∎ Documentation review of the initial (rapid) assessments for CP cases, guidelines, providing technical assistance and prioritizing them according to the risk level through Case worker and Case Supervisor.
∎ Implementing cases, tracking the cases, analyzing the CP protection concerns, and preparing real-time reports for the management and donor.
∎ Conducting case conferences, weekly meetings, supervision plans, capacity building, and providing technical advice on cases to cases for the caseworkers.
∎ Providing PSS support to vulnerable children and training the case workers to able provide PFA and PSS support.
∎ Manage cases in line with SOPs, adhere to standard documentation processes and follow best practice guidance.
∎ Ensure PSS support delivery within BRAC’s prescribed format following proper psychological intervention, timely reporting of PSS component in Tarro, MIS and donor.
∎ Organize Focus Group Discussion (FGD), Interview Method and documentation to integrate with the research team etc.
∎ Team management abilities, decision-making, and cultural awareness.
∎ Designing, facilitating, and supervising the capacity-building training of the CM, LSBE, and PSS staff including volunteers.
∎ Providing regular updates to Sector lead and management of the current cases and protection trends.
∎ Able to assist in designing the CP programme and implementing in the field level.
∎ Ensure inter and intra sector coordination for smooth delivery of project.
∎ Represent organization in different sectoral and technical working group meetings.
∎ Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
