Job Context:
∎ This position will lead the specific assigned project. This position will be responsible and contribute in Project planning, Project implementation and monitoring of Project activities, Financial Management, Staff capacity development, Administration, Coordination with networking and advocacy, support the proposal Development and Reporting. Also, this position will be responsible for support the development, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation project activities and results related to safeguard and improve public health of the affected population by ensuring access to safe drinking water, excreta disposal and promoting safe hygiene practices, including appropriate use and maintenance of WASH facilities and services, ensuring overall efficiency and effectiveness.
∎ Safety and Safeguarding including others necessary management issues as need.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsible for the implementation and support of the WASH projects in line with the activity plan and time frame of project proposals and any applicable national and international guidelines.
∎ Close supervision and management the quality construction of all infrastructures, ensuring maintenance and sustainability.
∎ Ensure that regular monitoring and evaluation assessments are conducted as planned with reports being made.
∎ Ensure integration of beneficiary participation and accountability.
∎ Assess existing project activities and recommend actions to be taken.
∎ Provide inputs and initiates the development of the WASH strategies, new projects, and donor proposals.
∎ Support the WASH lead in analyzing the project at all levels and work closely with the Program managers and project manager finance and budget to make all the corrections and modification of the projects whenever required.
∎ Manage and oversee recruitment, day-to-day management, development and training, appraisals, etc.
∎ Hold monthly team meetings with the teams, review objectives, inform them of issues relevant to their work and provide feedback and ensure they receive coaching and training.
∎ Promote the health and security of the teams by providing support to the WASH Sector lead in promoting the staff safety and security
∎ On occasions work with casual labor or other field staff (close monitoring of hiring, coordinating workload, payment).
∎ Plan, develop, approve the PRs and manage budgets for the assigned projects.
∎ Coordinate and oversee petty cash requirements of the assigned teams.
∎ Develop and maintain regular and supportive communication structures with teams and stakeholders.
∎ Represent BRAC WASH at local level coordination meetings involving local authorities, UN agencies, etc.
∎ Develop hygiene promotion program with consultation with the WASH partners and Hygiene promotion technical working group.
∎ Design the implementation plan and realize it at the field level.
∎ Design KAP survey ad other hygiene promotion monitoring tools and make them functional.
∎ Design the feedback mechanisms and ensure hygiene promotion team use the tools correctly
∎ Draft the hygiene promotion section in WASH proposals through provision of the clear write-up
∎ Lead the hygiene promotion implementation through setup of clear task at the field and cox bazar level.
∎ Forecast the resource required under hygiene promotion and ensure the burnt rate are accurate.
∎ Measure the impact level outcomes of BRAC hygiene promotion and recommend the proposed solutions to the team lead.
∎ Assign clear tasks to different team and manage the hygiene promotion personnel in the whole team.
∎ Communicate to the WASH specialists in issues related to the hygiene promotion and provide the feedback to them with clear action points.
∎ Participate in the technical working group and follow the action point and get the support from WASH specialists.
∎ Work closely with funding agencies in issues related to hygiene promotion and take the necessary actions for recommendations or feedback from the agencies.
∎ Work with the information management to ensure the hygiene promotion information are collected, analyzed and disseminated through clear support from you.
∎ Work closely with health section of BRAC and sector to provide the inputs of water related disease and findings from surveys or assessments.
∎ Provide clear direction and plan to the field hygiene promotion to coordinate with the partners on ground.
∎ Participate in Cluster level meeting and provide the clear feedback and take the corrective actions.
∎ Ensure all the reporting line are maintained in quality and timely manners.
∎ Provide the assessments, surveys report regularly.
∎ Take initiatives to prepare the sector reports.
∎ Develop the capacity building plan at field, community and Cox’s Bazar level and ensure it is implemented.
∎ Train the staff and follow the action points from the training sessions.
∎ Develop the action plans for whole trainings.
∎ Perform the other duties for the benefit of the beneficiaries and BRAC in area does not conflict with humanitarian core values
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 5-year experience in relevant field/Sector
∎ Experience in implementing CCC-PLTH and RANAS approach is an advantage.
∎ Knowledge on WASH Sector in Emergency
∎ Proven and good understanding of community-based approaches
∎ Knowledge of Programme Design & Development, MEAL, and Reporting.
∎ Knowledge on Programme evaluation, capacity building.
∎ Good understanding of research design and methodology.
∎ Financial management
∎ SPHERE Standards, Humanitarian Principles
∎ Knowledge of updated technologies for increasing work productivity and process optimization
∎ Computer Literacy (MS-Word, Excel, power point etc.)
