Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Oversee the planning, establishment, and management of 3-4 camps of a cluster, ensuring compliance with CCCM standards
∎ Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to implement CCCM activities and ensure the well-being of camp inhabitants
∎ Develop and implement camp management plans, addressing shelter, health, sanitation, and protection needs
∎ Provide effective leadership to a diverse team of CCCM professionals, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment
∎ Conduct regular team meetings, set performance expectations, and provide guidance to achieve project objectives
∎ Establish and maintain effective communication with camp residents, community leaders, government agencies, and humanitarian partners
∎ Collaborate with local authorities and other relevant entities to ensure coordination and alignment of CCCM efforts
∎ Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring efficient utilization of resources and compliance with donor requirements
∎ Monitor financial expenditures and provide regular updates to relevant stakeholders
∎ Implement robust monitoring and evaluation systems to track project progress and outcomes
∎ Analyze data and prepare comprehensive reports for internal and external stakeholders
∎ Ensure regular coordination of SMS sector priorities, strategy implementation, and project monitoring, enhance project quality and standardized field operations
∎ Support the SMS Coordinator in efficiently and promptly managing the response, considering the geographical coverage and the dynamic nature of the camps in terms of safety, security, socio-economic factors, stakeholder engagements, and multi-hazard aspects
∎ Build the capacity of SMS staff to ensure delivery of high-quality outcomes in the SMS sector
∎ Facilitate training sessions and provide ongoing support to enhance the skills and knowledge of the SMS team and relevant partners
∎ Facilitate quick support to camp-based colleagues, coordinate with various stakeholders, and ensure timely reporting, contributing to effective response management
∎ Assist in the preparation of work plans, strategic reports, documentation, budget tracking, staff capacity building, and other administrative responsibilities
∎ Analyze and monitor the actual expenditures against budgeted amounts and deployment of human resources to ensure spending is in line with the project plan
∎ Work closely with the finance team to address any discrepancies and ensure financial accountability
∎ Contribute in developing comprehensive project proposals and donor reports to articulate project goals and outcomes effectively
∎ Contributing in fund-raising initiatives to secure financial support for sustainable project implementation
∎ Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so
∎ This position is responsible for ensuring the effective planning, establishment, and management of a cluster of assigned camps, overseeing the implementation of Camp Coordination and Camp Management activities in accordance with humanitarian standards. This position holds the responsibility of providing strong leadership to a diverse team, fostering collaboration, and engaging with stakeholders to address the complex needs of camp inhabitants.
