∎ Job Purpose
∎ To lead, design, plan, overall manage, and ensure successful implementation of all planned project activities of the FCDO funded project "Educate the Most Disadvantaged Children (EMDC)". The EMDC project offers accelerated education for dropout children in the hard-to-reach areas of Bangladesh.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Develop plan according to the Accelerated Model and open a number of schools in project locations.
∎ Prepare annual operating plan aligning with the budget and track the activities
∎ accordingly.
∎ Monitor the quality of the management information system (MIS) and ensure timely and compliant donor reporting.
∎ Track financial progress and status of the project as per approved budget.
∎ Analyse deviations, identify key issues of the program and work closely with BEP senior management.
∎ Analysis of programme outputs/ outcomes, performance and identification of progress/ shortfalls and initiate necessary steps for ensuring programme quality.
∎ Identifying the key strategies for monitoring and evaluation and also facilitate to implement the process within the project.
∎ Take innovative pedagogical interventions for the EMDC project and plan as per project design training and capacity building of teachers and staff in coordination with BEP capacity building unit.
∎ Promote gender equality and inclusion in the project activities.
∎ Any other activities that are required for the successful implementation of the project.
∎ Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 6 years of working experience in development sector. Prior experience in the education field will be given priority.
∎ Very good communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.
