  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Experience with database management.

  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in managerial level including three years in Rohingya refugee settings in Cox’s Bazar

  • Working experience with UN/UNICEF is an asset.

  • Proven ability to establish effective working relationships with all levels of management, DPM, CEO’s, ISP and OW’s

  • Strong organizational (time management), analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to multi-task, manage and meet tight deadlines

  • Must be able to work well independently and as a member of a team

  • Overall Project responsible for programmatically & financially.

  • Reporting and Documentation

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual Narrative reports, and case study as per requirement.

Project Title: Community engagement to improve Social and Behaviour practices for improved well-being of women and children in Cox’s Bazar including Rohingya Refugee camps

Job Description / Responsibility of Program Manager (PM)

Supervisor:

You are directly re-portable to Deputy Director (WASH, DRR & CWC) and be based at Cox’s bazar Project Office, you are the immediate Supervisor of DPM, MEAL Officer & Accounts and admin Officer, willing to undertake 30% of time in the field and 70% of time of in office and meeting, you incumbent will perform the following duties and responsibilities.

Job Summary:

The objective of the position is Assist to manage overall relevant stakeholders to implement the Project to bring sustainable and systemic changes in existing. This key position of Community Engagement project is responsible for transforming strategies into action through developing project implementation plan and other guiding documents; ensuring smooth operation and efficient implementation of project activities through project and support unit staff and upholding accountabilities with regard to project interventions.

Key responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Program development and management.

  • Develop project implementation strategy to ensure quality standards of project delivery on time.

  • Ensure regular donor and other report preparation and submission to SHED and Donor management as per project need.

  • Effective communication and maintain liaison with UNICEF focal and SHED management for Community Engagement Project at local level

  • Ensure monthly project team meeting at Camps, Upazila, District and take steps for staff capacity development.

  • Attend project related different forums, meetings, seminars at Upazila & districts level.

  • Support Deputy Director-CwC & WASH providing progress.

  • Lead production of high quality, evidence-based donor compliant, humanitarian cluster like Communications with Community (CWC) and SHED management reports.

  • Contribute to proposal development and fund-raising activities for future funding

  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programmer’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.

  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any re-portable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

  • Develop technical skill and capacity of entrepreneur groups by facilitating linkages with public / private technical providers in the community.

  • Document and assess Project Process (achievement, challenges, learning, outcomes, etc) throughout the entire project duration.

  • Provides expertise in the development, organization, administration and execution of special events and keeping pre and post event details.

  • Contributes and helps implement plans to engage stakeholders, CEO’s, DPM, ISP and Outreach Workers.

  • Liaise with internal departments, committees and external clients to facilitate the coordination of event production.

  • Strong interpersonal skills in establishing successful working relationships both internally and externally.

  • Recruit, train and supervise DPM, CEO, ISP & OW According to needs.

  • Monitor regular activities in field level and reporting to management.

  • Liaison between management and filed level Staffs.

  • Liaison and maintain an excellent relationship between the local govt. Authority and CiC’s.

  • Other duties and work as assigned.
