Experience:

Job Location: The job is based in Jashore district but with regular travel to upazila and union level for implementation of project activities smoothly.
Organization Overview: Banchte Shekha is a renowned non-governmental organization (NGO) in Bangladesh, established in 1976 by Dr. Angela Gomes, a prominent social worker and advocate for women’s empowerment. The name “Banchte Shekha,” meaning “Learn How to Survive,” reflects the organization’s mission to empower disadvantaged communities particularly women, children, and marginalized groups through education, skill development, and rights-based social advocacy.
Banchte Shekha is implementing a project titled “Body Talk 2” in Jashore district with financial and technical support from Liliane Fonds and Centre for Disability in Development (CDD). The project focuses on promoting Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) for children and youth with disabilities by improving their access to inclusive, accurate, and age-appropriate SRHR information and services.
Through community awareness, capacity building of service providers, and engagement with caregivers, educators, and community leaders, the project aims to address stigma, discrimination, and barriers that prevent children and youth with disabilities from exercising their rights. By fostering an inclusive and supportive environment, the initiative seeks to empower them to make informed decisions about their health and well-being and contribute to building a more equitable and accessible society.
Job Overview (SRHR Training Officer):
The SRHR Training Officer will work closely under the guidance and supervision of the Project Coordinator in implementing capacity-building initiatives under the Body Talk 2 Project, which focuses on promoting Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) for children and youth with disabilities. The position will be responsible for planning, organizing, and facilitating training programs to strengthen the knowledge and skills of project staff, community stakeholders, service providers, caregivers, and adolescents on disability-inclusive and rights-based SRHR education.
The SRHR Training Officer will support the development and adaptation of inclusive training materials and ensure that SRHR information is accessible, accurate, and age-appropriate for children and youth with disabilities. Through effective training, mentoring, and community engagement, the position will contribute to improving awareness, reducing stigma and discrimination, and strengthening the capacity of local actors to provide inclusive SRHR information and services.
Key Responsibilities (SRHR Training Officer):
Training Planning
Identify training needs for project staff, caregivers, service providers, community stakeholders, and adolescents with disabilities.
Prepare annual and quarterly training plans aligned with project objectives.
Organize logistics and schedules for training sessions, workshops, and capacity-building events.
Training Facilitation
Facilitate participatory and learner-centered training sessions on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR).
Apply inclusive and accessible training methodologies suitable for participants with disabilities.
Ensure effective learning outcomes through interactive tools, discussions, and practical exercises.
Development of Training Materials
Support the development of SRHR training manuals, guides, and educational resources.
Adapt materials to ensure accessibility for persons with disabilities.
Ensure materials are age-appropriate, culturally sensitive, and aligned with international SRHR standards.
Capacity Building of Stakeholders
Strengthen the knowledge and skills of teachers, healthcare providers, caregivers, and community volunteers.
Provide mentoring and technical guidance to stakeholders delivering SRHR information and services.
Conduct follow-up support to improve the application of training knowledge in practice.
Community Awareness and Engagement
Facilitate community awareness sessions on SRHR and disability inclusion.
Promote dialogue to challenge stigma and harmful social norms.
Encourage safe and supportive spaces for adolescents and youth with disabilities.
Monitoring and Documentation
Track training implementation and participant engagement.
Collect feedback from participants and stakeholders.

Partner Coordination
