Experience:
Bachelor / Masters’s degree in in Social Work, Psychology, Community Development, Public Health, or related field.
Specialized training in CBR or disability inclusion is an advantage.
Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in working with communities, particularly with children and youth with disabilities, is highly desirable.
Basic understanding of disability rights and inclusive development principles.

Job Location: The job is based in Jashore district but with regular travel to upazila and union level for implementation of project activities smoothly.

Organization Overview:
Banchte Shekha is a renowned non-governmental organization (NGO) in Bangladesh, established in 1976 by Dr. Angela Gomes, a prominent social worker and advocate for women’s empowerment. The name “Banchte Shekha,” meaning “Learn How to Survive,” reflects the organization’s mission to empower disadvantaged communities particularly women, children, and marginalized groups through education, skill development, and rights-based social advocacy.
Banchte Shekha is implementing a project titled “Body Talk 2” in Jashore district with financial and technical support from Liliane Fonds and Centre for Disability in Development (CDD). The project focuses on promoting Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) for children and youth with disabilities by improving their access to inclusive, accurate, and age-appropriate SRHR information and services.
Through community awareness, capacity building of service providers, and engagement with caregivers, educators, and community leaders, the project aims to address stigma, discrimination, and barriers that prevent children and youth with disabilities from exercising their rights. By fostering an inclusive and supportive environment, the initiative seeks to empower them to make informed decisions about their health and well-being and contribute to building a more equitable and accessible society.
Job Overview – Case Manager (SRHR Project)
The Case Manager will play a pivotal role in implementing the Body Talk 2 Project under the guidance of the Project Coordinator. The position is responsible for providing direct support to children and youth with disabilities and their families, ensuring access to inclusive, rights-based Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) services and interventions. The Case Manager will assess the needs of children and youth, develop individualized support plans, and coordinate with project staff, service providers, caregivers, and community stakeholders to ensure timely and effective delivery of services. They will monitor progress, provide mentoring, and facilitate access to healthcare, education, and social support, ensuring that interventions are inclusive, age-appropriate, and disability-sensitive.
In addition, the Case Manager will contribute to community engagement initiatives to reduce stigma and discrimination, support the adaptation of training and educational materials, and strengthen the capacity of local actors to provide inclusive SRHR information and services. Through these efforts, the Case Manager will empower children and youth with disabilities to exercise their rights, make informed health decisions, and actively participate in their families and communities.
