Experience:
Minimum a Post-graduate degree with a 4-year bachelor’s degree in nutrition and food science/food & nutrition science or public health from any reputed public University.
Experience: Minimum 08 years of practical experience in NGO/INGO at the same or similar positions along with Minimum 05 (two) years’ experience in the Rohingya Response.
· Technical Skills:
• Experience in closely working in project location is advantageous.
• Previous experience working in CMAM is an asset.
• Knowledge of local dialects (Cox’s Bazar region dialect is an asset.)
Soft Skills:
• Ability to work under minimal supervision in resource-limited settings.
• Strong communication and training skills for volunteers/staff.
• Sensitivity to gender, disability, and social inclusion issues.
Age Limit: Maximum 40 Years (on 25th March 2026) but experience and age may be flexible for highly potential candidates.
Job Location: Ukhiya/At anywhere in the project area of Cox's Bazar.
Primary Objective: Responsible for the overall planning, implementation, and monitoring of nutrition projects in FDMN camps and host communities. This includes oversight of staff, facilities, equipment, hygiene protocols, and beneficiary care (admission/discharge/treatment).
Key Responsibilities
1. Operational & Strategic Management
Develop concept notes, project proposals, and Detailed Implementation Plans (DIP) in line with SHED and donor principles.
Manage budget forecasts and utilization; ensure all resources are used efficiently per approved plans.
Secure necessary government and administrative approvals for project operations.
Provide tactical guidance to staff to ensure timely delivery and overcome field constraints.
Coordinate with local government, partners, and the nutrition sector in Cox’s Bazar to align project activities.
Maintain a contingency plan for emergency outbreaks or operational shifts.
2. Quality Assurance & People Management
Ensure staff understand project objectives and adhere to JDs and working hours.
Build team competency through capacity identification, training, and performance feedback.
Foster a positive work culture emphasizing gender equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Supervise facility and outreach services: CMAM, IYCF, GMP, cooking demos, and micronutrient supplementation.
Oversee mass screenings (MUAC) and deworming campaigns.
Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards at Integrated Nutrition Facilities (INF).
Lead staff recruitment and implement SHED’s performance management system.
3. Supply Chain & Resource Oversight
Manage procurement of food, medications, and non-food items (NFI) in compliance with donor policies.
Ensure timely supply requests and adequate stock levels at the camp level.
Monitor beneficiary ration consumption to ensure adherence to standard protocols.
Report supply chain bottlenecks or utilization issues immediately to management and funders.
4. M&E, Knowledge Management & Reporting
Lead assessments (baseline/endline), mid-term reviews, and situation analyses.
Implement M&E frameworks to capture lessons learned and best practices.
Prepare high-quality narrative reports, factsheets, and newsletters for stakeholders.
Update progress on PSEA (Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse), ESRM, and AAP (Accountability to Affected Populations) monthly/quarterly.
5. Coordination & Representation
Establish strong working relationships with CIC authorities and nutrition sector partners.
Manage referral and feedback systems between nutrition centers and other health facilities (SC, OPD, IPD).
Collaborate with WASH, Child Protection, and Food Security programs at the camp level.
Represent SHED at Camp-level, Upazila-level, and Technical Working Group (CMAM/IYCF) meetings.
6. Safeguarding & Compliance
Uphold SHED’s Staff Code of Conduct and Programme Participant Protection Policy.
Ensure the highest standards of behavior to prevent the exploitation of program participants.
Maintain workplace conduct aligned with SHED’s core mission and values.
Note:
Time Allocation: 50% Desk work (reporting/meetings/training) and 50% Field work.
Flexibility: Perform any other duties assigned by the line manager or organization as required.
