Job Summary

The Production Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day production of jute yarn and sacking products, ensuring required output, quality, efficiency and manpower utilization.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise daily production across batching, carding, drawing, spinning, winding, weaving and finishing.

• Ensure production targets are achieved according to approved specifications.

• Monitor jute yarn, B-Twill, Binola, L-Twill and other sacking production.

• Control raw jute usage, batching, moisture, waste and production losses.

• Monitor yarn count, strength, twist, fabric construction, bag weight and dimensions.

• Coordinate with Quality Control to ensure finished products meet buyer requirements.

• Improve machine efficiency, labour productivity and overall production output.

• Coordinate with Mechanical and Electrical teams to minimize breakdowns and downtime.

• Manage shift-wise manpower and production performance.

• Investigate production problems, excessive breakage, low efficiency and high waste.

• Maintain accurate daily production reports and report major issues to management.

• Support product trials, machinery upgrades and process improvements.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 8–12 years of experience in jute mill production.

• Minimum 3–5 years in a senior production role.

• Strong knowledge of spinning, weaving, sacking production and production planning.

• Experience managing multiple shifts and production teams.

• Strong understanding of machine efficiency, waste control and quality parameters.

• Hands-on, disciplined and capable of working directly on the factory floor.
