Educational Requirements:
∎ Graduate degree in Product Design, Interior Design, Architecture or Fine Art

Experience Requirements:
∎ At most 1 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Organization Name: IOM (International Organization for Migration).
∎ Work as part of the CMC team, designing weekly plans and delivering the necessary ad-hoc design training to craftsmen, as well as monitoring the production on a weekly basis and managing the documentation of the outcomes produced.
∎ Engage actively in workshops with Rohingya individuals and key community members to define how their identity and cultural stories should be portrayed.
∎ Identify and engage key creative individuals and nurture their talent through
∎ creative processes and production of outcomes
∎ Supervise and mentor accordingly a selected group of Rohingya agents to assist in the tasks of researching and documenting the information related to the items produced so to be archived in the CMC repository accordingly.
∎ Work in collaboration with the CMC Curator and the selected Architect in designing some of the exhibition interior spaces integrating the items produced and engaging the artisans in the production of the physical narrative of the Rohingya Experience.
∎ Support the curator and CMC, the Project Field Coordinator and core team with
∎ any other tasks that might be identified or relevant to the nature of the project

Additional Requirements:
∎ Good knowledge and practical ability of sketching ideas and drawing designs
∎ Practical knowledge producing furniture and small size objects
∎ Experience in producing architectural models is an asset
∎ Have an interest in ethnographic research and in traditional knowledge and design
∎ Having attention for detail and ability to solve problems in creative ways
∎ The candidate must be empathetic and sensitive in engaging with the refugee community.
∎ Previous experience in humanitarian and emergency response environments is an asset.
∎ Experience in managing and mentoring small teams and delivering workshops
∎ Working knowledge of MS Office and creative software such Adobe Creative Cloud.
∎ Proficiency in spoken and written English and Bangladeshi language. Chittagonian or Rohingalish is an asset

Salary:
∎ Monthly Salary BDT: 1,23,000.00
