Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Jacquard Design & Weaving Patterns: Lead the design and development of new products in various narrow fabric applications.
∎ Lingerie Pattern Development: Experience crafting intimate elastics and related products for lingerie.
∎ Yarn & Fiber Knowledge: Strong understanding of Nylon, Polyester, Spandex.
∎ Sustainable Practices & Innovative Fabric Technology: Should have firm knowledge on these.
∎ Buyer Specification: Capable of producing products that match buyer specs precisely - managing extension, modulus, recovery and hand fill requirements.
∎ Sample Replication: Ability to replicate and refine buyer provided samples effectively.
∎ Design and Conceptualization: Skilled in creating new designs, developing concepts, and innovating within the narrow fabrics domain.
∎ Define product vision and strategy in alignment with business objectives and market trends.
∎ Developing and managing product roadmaps, timelines and budgets.
∎ A track record of ensuring product quality and consistency.
∎ Strong collaboration with internal teams (e.g. sales, production, quality) to meet timelines and maintain cost effectiveness.
∎ Excellent communication skills for interfacing with international and local buyers as needed.
∎ Collaborating with engineering, manufacturing and supply chain teams to optimize product quality and manufacturability.
∎ Harnest (Garments Trims and Accessories Manufacturer) is looking for a skilled and results oriented Product Development Manager (Narrow Fabrics) particularly expertise in Jacquard, Woven and Intimate Elastics. The ideal candidate should have in-depth knowledge and practical experience in designing high quality products that meet buyer specifications, focusing on key qualities such as extension, modulus, recovery and hand fill.
