Job Context:
∎ 100% Export Oriented Fashion Garments Manufacturing Factory (Located at Dhaka Mirpur) is looking for smart young personnel who is ready to face the challenges and equipped with necessary drive, motivation and hunger to make a mark in this industry. At the moment we are looking for some well experienced captioned positions and invite applications. Details of requirement appear as under:
∎ We are looking for a young, energetic & creative Candidate who is ready to take challenges in our multinational working environment as a sample Room/Product Development Manager to lead our inclining business operations in amplifies industry.
∎ Application for the said position with deserved candidates are immediate for appointment.
∎ Candidate must have command over communication skill in English as well as Bilingual language;
∎ Candidate must have at least 15 years of experience in product development for ladies fast moving knit fashionable items as well lingerie for the European market with strong technical and design background
∎ At least 8-10 years of managerial experience
∎ Creative, able to think out of the box, strong at managing clients and excellent team leadership
∎ Proficiency in product costing and familiar with product development process
∎ Great fashion sense and solid technical background
∎ Coordination, facilitation and management of task within team and organization.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Reporting to the Head of Product Design & Development in UK and Country Manager/Managing Director in Bangladesh, you will:
∎ Lead designers, and technical team to research and analyse market trends to maximise business opportunities
∎ Develop product development strategies to fulfil our core customer's needs by determining specifications, production timetable and developing marketing strategies
∎ To monitor the entire product development process to provide constructive solution when problems arise
∎ Work closely with production team to ensure smooth process of sample and bulk production
∎ Understand the competitors and market competition and able to provide guidance and advise to clients
∎ To plan styles, colours, prints and Fabric for Season as per customer's specification
∎ Coordinate with Product Development design team, fabric- trim team to develop new designs, fabric, elastics & Trims.
∎ Introduce new designs in storyboard meeting and make actual garment samples upon approval;
∎ Developing samples for photo shoot
∎ Presentation of garment samples and packaging samples at range review meeting
∎ Presentation of samples to marketing and e-commerce team;
∎ Coordinate with marketing team for style, colour and monthly sales and update & colour ratios in tech pack;
∎ Preparation of merchandising sheet/BOM and tech pack after set approval;
∎ Process owner for style clarity meeting and hand over style files to production merchandiser;
∎ Work with production team for PP samples, TOP samples and bulk approvals;
∎ Updating launch plan tracker and co-ordinate with production team for on time product launch;
∎ Your primary job role is to design, develop and promote marketable lingerie products and concepts to our key business partner, that are profitable and production feasible.
∎ You must possess market intelligence, be knowledgeable in current retail trends in order to identify business value, product categories, best sellers, key competitors & understand organizational structures in order to enhance our business potential;
∎ You will be required to work closely with our business partner to build on initial concepts & make our designs price and lead-time competitive;
∎ You should also be able to incorporate new RM ideas, silhouettes, finishes and liaise with the sample room and International Team and Production department;
∎ You are responsible for passing on the cost components by liaising with the relevant marketing merchant to make sure the designs hit the buyer's target FOBs which also meet required profit margin to our company.
∎ You will need to conduct Risk Analysis meetings and style amendment follow up on styles presented to & picked up by the buyer at initial edit.
∎ You will need to build good working relationships with all our customer design/sourcing teams, internal & external suppliers where necessary.

Additional Requirements:

∎ Must have 10-15 years experience working as a Product Development Specialist out of which 6-10 years as a Managerial role
∎ Person specification:
∎ Min 10-15 years' work experience in similar role, Textile or Production Management degree, Fluent English, Experience with EU markets is essential
∎ Ladies Lingerie &/or intimate background
∎ hands on knowledge of all aspects of production & Quality
∎ pattern making skills
∎ fluent English
∎ experience working with European customers
∎ A proven track record of setting and achieving quality standards across a Ladies wear knitted and lingerie product category
∎ Experience of fitting garments and ideally pattern cutting within a manufacturing and/or a retail (Technical Department) environment.
∎ A solid knowledge of garment construction and manufacturing methodology
∎ A firm understanding of garment pattern grading
∎ Experience of establishing raw material testing standards.
∎ Organized and efficient - ability to multi-task and prioritize
∎ Good communication skills with experience of liaising with a range of suppliers and other business partners (internal and external)
∎ Systematic approach to logging and recording information
