Responsibilities & Context:

Workforce Planning and Recruitment:

  • Develop and implement strategic workforce planning to ensure the right talent is in place to meet production demands.

  • Manage the entire recruitment process, including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviewing, and on boarding.

  • Collaborate with department heads to identify staffing needs and create detailed job descriptions.

  • Ensure timely talent acquisition to meet organizational goals.

Workplace Safety and Compliance:

  • Implement and enforce workplace safety programs and conduct regular safety training sessions.

  • Promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with Bangladesh labour laws, the buyer’s Code of Conduct, Labor Law 2006, and Labor Rules.

  • Regularly update and audit compliance measures to align with local, state, and federal regulations.

HR Administration and Performance Management:

  • Develop and manage the HR department budget, monitoring recruitment, training, and employee engagement expenses.

  • Implement and maintain a robust performance management system across all departments.

  • Oversee employee relations and manage comprehensive benefit programs.

Employee Relations and Legal Affairs:

  • Manage employee and labor relations, including handling disciplinary actions, inquiries, and grievances.

  • Oversee legal HR matters such as employment contracts, terminations, and workplace investigations.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Manage attendance, salary administration, leave management, compensation, benefits, and incentive schemes.

  • Oversee payroll expenditures, including salaries, overtime, night allowances, and final settlements.

Training and Development:

  • Conduct Training Needs Assessments (TNA) and organize appropriate training programs.

  • Enhance staff retention by developing programs that boost knowledge, skills, and safety awareness

Strategic HR Development:

  • Provide strategic HR development insights to management for operational planning.

  • Advise and support the Executive Team in implementing best HR practices.

Foreign Staff Integration and Support:

  • Facilitate the onboarding and integration of foreign staff, promoting cultural understanding and support.

  • Develop programs to make foreign employees feel comfortable and valued in Bangladesh.

Administrative Duties:

  • Prepare and issue HR-related communications, including office notes, memos, orders, and circular.

  • Maintain strong relationships with local bodies, buyer representatives, and government agencies.

  • Ensure compliance with record-keeping and data management.

Additional Responsibilities: Perform any other tasks assigned by management.
