Educational Requirements:
∎ Graduate/ Post Graduate from any reputed university/Fashion institute
Experience Requirements:
∎ 3 to 5 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Should have creative sense to produce new ideas and concepts.
∎ Should have knowledge about various kinds of Yarns, fabrics and trims
∎ Ability to select fabrics, embellishments, colors, or style for each garment or accessory.
∎ Contribute to the creation and implementation of product design & development to achieve company's business goal.
∎ Ability to understand the seasonal color trend and material trend.
∎ Ability to understand and design the seasonal embroidery, print and other seasonal embellishment inspiration. And to provide print design & development support to different customers based on customer's requirements.
∎ Ability to understand the production feasibility of developed product as well as to make it in true orders.
∎ Ability to take the responsibility of all Design activities including Request for Quotations (RFQs), Design freeze/release, Design Failure Mode Effect Analysis (DFMEA), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Design Verification/Product Validation (DV & PV) testing and Computer-aided engineering (CAE).
∎ Present design, costs, changes and budgetary information effectively to senior management & customers and provide regular progress updates.
∎ Ability to create detailed cost blueprints of designed & developed products.
∎ Provide support to production to improve quality & lead time.
∎ Improve reliability of performance to reduce or eliminate warrantable issues.
∎ Ability to handle 2D and 3D CAD, to produce designs, drawings and models.
∎ Ability to handle Multimedia, Photoshop & 3D product development.
∎ Drive forward product development, innovation and 'think outside the box 'to generate design & product development advantage for customers, thinking creatively to develop new/improved solutions.
∎ Should have wide knowledge about global fashion trends.
∎ Ability to lead the design & product development team under budget constraints.
Additional Requirements:
∎ 03 to 05 years' practical experience in similar position.
∎ The Applicant should have experienced the followings area(s):
∎ As Product Developer person he/she will be responsible for ensuring and managing, Product Design & Development quality of all garments processing through factories. Should have experience with buying house, factory, Liaison Office.
∎ Excellent communication skills both spoken and written in English.
∎ A proven record of success in coordinating design & product development work.
∎ A clear understanding of the consumer products is desirable. Strong detail orientation with the ability to work with overseas vendors is a must.
∎ Commitment, attitude and ability to work as a team
∎ Ability to work under pressure even for longer working hours
∎ Computer knowledge in M S Excel, Power Point.
