Responsibilities & Context:
Execute daily, weekly, and monthly sewing production plans
Allocate manpower, machines, and lines based on style complexity and SMV
Ensure production targets are achieved with optimum efficiency
Monitor line balancing and implement improvements
Supervise all sewing lines for knit garments
Ensure correct machine setup, attachments, and folder usage
Control WIP and minimize bottlenecks in sewing processes
Coordinate with Maintenance for machine uptime
Ensure right-first-time production and minimize rework
Work closely with Quality team to control sewing defects
Ensure implementation of approved samples, SOPs, and sewing specs
Conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues
Monitor sewing efficiency, absenteeism, and overtime
Reduce CM cost through productivity improvement initiatives
Control thread, trims, and accessories wastage
Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices
Lead, guide, and motivate sewing supervisors, line chiefs, and operators
Plan operator skill development and multi-skilling
Ensure proper discipline, attendance, and productivity
Evaluate performance and support appraisal processes
Coordinate with Merchandising for order priorities and delivery schedules
Work with IE for SMV analysis and line layout optimization
Liaise with Quality, Cutting, Washing, Finishing, and Planning teams
Support buyer visits, audits, and production meetings
Ensure compliance with buyer codes of conduct and factory policies
