Responsibilities & Context:
∎ This position will be responsible to work with the PHC/HP Manager closely to ensure the smooth running of the project and provide proper medicine dispense to beneficiaries.
∎ Implement quality assurance programs to ensure accuracy and safety in medication dispensing and related pharmacy services. This may involve conducting regular audits, reviewing medication orders, monitoring medication storage and handling practices, and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
∎ Ensure that the pharmacy operates in compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and professional standards. This involves monitoring and enforcing adherence to policies and procedures related to medication dispensing, record-keeping, and patient privacy.
∎ Regularly prepares requisition for medicine, medical items and other logistics.
∎ Dispense medicine according to the proper guidelines and doctor’s prescriptions.
∎ Provide information and counseling about drug doses, indications, side-effect to patients to improve their health.
∎ Maintain medicine stock, Keep records for medicine consumption, and update registers regularly.
∎ Informing the Medical Officer about available medicine, short-dated medicine, short medicine, etc.
∎ Assist in ensuring Quality Assurance in medical and supply management.
∎ Timely produce procurement requests maintaining stocks.
∎ Take timely measures to avoid the expiry of medicines and supplies.
∎ Keep records of Pharmacy temperature and maintain the cold chain for medicines and vaccines as appropriate.
∎ Maintain a functional coordination with different stakes in the camp (CiC, Site management, Camp health focal and other health partners).
∎ Ensure effective coordination and communication within different projects under Health and Nutrition Sector.Prepare and submit daily and monthly reports.
∎ Established Patient friendly services and a healthy working environment.
∎ Helps PHC/HP Manager, Medical Officer in record keeping and reporting.
∎ Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
