Team Leadership & Staff Development
Buyer Communication & Cross-Functional Coordination
Responsibilities & Context:
Develop accurate garment patterns based on buyer requirements through coordination with the merchandising team.
Oversee sample development, approval, and communication of any design or fit modifications.
Prepare master patterns for all sizes using CAD software such as Lectra, Gemini, Gerber, or Optitex.
Optimize marker layouts to minimize fabric wastage and improve efficiency.
Review sketches, specifications, and measurement charts to ensure design integrity and production accuracy.
Lead the CAD team in maintaining consistency across fit, pattern grading, and quality parameters.
Evaluate all sample stages design, proto, fit, red seal, and gold seal ensuring compliance with buyer expectations.
Implement cost control measures through efficient CAD operations and fabric utilization.
Drive continuous improvement across pattern accuracy, marker planning, and overall CAD performance.
