Responsibilities & Context:
Compliance & Worker Relations
Ensure all welfare activities strictly comply with the Bangladesh Labor Law 2006 and Labor Rules 2015.
Foster a positive worker-owner relationship and maintain open, effective communication channels across the floor.
Uphold employee rights as per labor laws and ensure a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding physical or sexual abuse in the workplace.
Establish mandatory worker committees, follow up on their regular activities, and maintain necessary registers.
Health, Safety & Amenities
Promote a healthy and safe work environment by advising and briefing workers on the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), machine guards, sanitation, and fire safety.
Oversee and ensure the proper maintenance of facility amenities, including washrooms, canteens, rest areas, and pure drinking water supplies.
Supervise the onsite childcare facility and actively lead the day-care personnel.
HR & Employee Support
Assist the HR department in the manpower recruitment process to ensure the right types of employees are hired.
Conduct comprehensive orientation and training sessions for all new and existing employees.
Provide guidance and direct assistance to workers in availing medical services, housing, education, canteen facilities, and legal assistance.
Monitor payroll processes to ensure salaries are disbursed on time and in the correct amounts.
Ensure all necessary benefits and entitlements are properly provided to all workers.
