Position Summary
The Operation Head, Skills Development Program will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of skills development initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in capacity development and at least 10 years of experience working with development partners. This leadership role requires overseeing large-scale skills development projects, engaging with government and donor-supported programs, and managing a sizable training team. The Operation Head will represent the organization both nationally and internationally and must be willing to travel outside Dhaka as needed. The key goal for this position is to establish and lead one of the top three skills development programs in Bangladesh.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, implement, and monitor skills development programs aligned with organizational goals.
Manage relationships with government agencies, donors, and development partners.
Ensure compliance with all donor and government regulations and reporting requirements.
Lead and mentor a large team of trainers and program staff.
Continuously innovate to enhance program quality and impact.
Represent the organization at national and international forums.
Conduct field visits outside Dhaka for program oversight.
Effectively manage program budgets.
Independently liaise with high-level government officials to design new projects.
Navigate key government programs and agencies such as NSDA, NHRDF, SICIP, Partner, Asset, EARN, and EDGE.
Performance Targets
Position the program within the top three nationally in trainee enrollment and graduation within two years.
Forge partnerships with at least five major government and donor agencies within the first year.
Launch three new skills training initiatives aligned with market demands within 18 months.
Increase employment and income outcomes for trainees within two years.
Achieve national and international recognition for program quality within three years.
