Experience:
Required Experience:
• 3–6 years’ experience in compliance, audit, investigation, legal compliance, or anti-corruption functions
• Experience in multinational or construction/project environments preferred
• Investigation or fraud review experience highly preferred
Required Skills:
• Knowledge of Bangladesh compliance (including the Prevention of Corruption Act, 2004) and anti-corruption regulations
• Strong analytical, investigation, and reporting skills
• Understanding of internal controls and governance practices
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Strong English & Bengali communication skills
Position Summary:
The Compliance & Anti-Corruption Officer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring the company’s anti-corruption and integrity programs in Bangladesh. The role will support internal investigations into alleged violations of company policies, local laws, and international anti-corruption regulations, including the United Nations Convention Against Corruption (UNCAC) and relevant Bangladeshi legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Anti-Corruption Program Management
Develop and implement local anti-corruption policies, procedures, and training programs aligned with company standards and Bangladeshi law
Conduct regular compliance risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
Monitor and update compliance programs in line with changes in local regulations and international best practices
2. Investigations
Conduct thorough and impartial investigations into allegations of corruption, bribery, fraud, conflicts of interest, and other unethical conduct
Interview witnesses, collect and analyze evidence, and prepare detailed investigation reports with findings and recommendations
Coordinate with local law enforcement authorities when necessary
Maintain strict confidentiality of all investigation matters
3. Training & Awareness
Develop and deliver anti-corruption and integrity training to employees, contractors, and business partners
Organize awareness campaigns to promote a culture of ethics and compliance
Provide guidance and advice to management and employees on compliance-related matters
4. Reporting & Documentation
Prepare regular compliance reports for regional headquarters
Maintain accurate and complete records of all compliance activities and investigations
Ensure all documentation complies with company record-keeping requirements
5. Third-Party Due Diligence
Conduct due diligence on potential business partners, suppliers, and contractors
Review and negotiate anti-corruption clauses in contracts
Saturday will be treated as a half-working day / half-day off.
