Job Context:
∎ ASPADA Paribesh Unnayan Foundation has been implementing an international exchange project with India and Cambodia funded by Norwegian Agency for Exchange Cooperation (Norec). We are looking for a young professional from a nutritional science background who will be exchanged in India for a year. The partnership is exchanging ASPADA practiced "Health Cooperative Model `` and the "Participatory Learning and Action Model (PLA)" model practiced by Pahal Jan Sahayog Vikas Sansthan `` between Bangladesh and India. The incumbent will be responsible for demonstrating ASPADA`s model to Pahal Jan Sahayog Vikas Sansthan, Indore (MP), India and as well as learning on the PLA model.
∎ Job Location-Indore, Maydho Prodesh, India.
∎ (12 months in India and 2 months in Dhaka/Mymensingh, Bangladesh)
∎ Job Nature-Full-time (Contractual for 14 months), Service contract will be started from 01 January 2024.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Feasibility analysis to incorporate the concept of health cooperatives among SHG (Self Help
∎ Groups).
∎ Baseline survey and village/slum/SHG profiling by the participants.
∎ Preparation of baseline report.
∎ Decide training dates and conduct training program for PAHAL staff on formation of health
∎ cooperatives.
∎ Meetings and orientation of SHG members to develop health cooperatives.
∎ Formation of health cooperative among 10 SHGs.
∎ Assessment and monitoring of health cooperatives and provide hand holding support to local staff
∎ and SHG.
∎ Develop Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials like flip charts, handbills,
∎ posters, etc. to showcase good practices with reference to health cooperative model.
∎ Participant will prepare and share periodical reports. Quarterly reports will be shared by
∎ participants highlighting their learning, work done and planning of next quarter.
∎ Presentation of learning and experience with government officials to motivate for adoption.
∎ Development of implementation strategy in line with local needs and requirements.
∎ Development of training modules in coordination with mentor and local staff. The duration and
∎ number of sessions will be planned after feasibility analysis, but session will not be more than 10
∎ with approx. duration of 90 mins per session.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 34 years
∎ The applicant must have fluency in English and fluency in Hindi language will get advantage.
∎ At least 3-5 years working experience with NGO on primary health care and malnutrition particularly for women, children, and elderly people.
∎ Experience in providing training to the community people will get advantage.
∎ Willing to work in the countryside of India independently.
∎ Proactive and team player
∎ Adaptive capacity in multicultural environment and work under pressure.
∎ Physical capability to work at abroad alone
Salary:
∎ Around 90,000 BDT per month with well-furnished accommodation in abroad
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ International health and travel insurance, provident fund contribution, language course (Hindi or English as required), in-service and international travel [Nepal (2- times for training) and India], and Departure/ setup grant.
