We are inviting energetic and analytical graduates to join our team as Management Trainee Officer (Category Management). This role offers hands-on exposure to product sourcing, inventory control, supplier management, product assortment, market analysis, and cross-functional coordination, building a strong foundation for a career in modern retail category management.
Job Responsibilities
Category Strategy & Planning
Assist the Category Manager in developing and executing category strategies aligned with business objectives.
Support assortment planning, pricing strategies, and promotional planning for assigned product categories.
Supplier Sourcing & Relationship Management
Identify, evaluate, and coordinate with reliable suppliers.
Maintain strong professional relationships with suppliers to ensure product availability, quality, and competitive pricing.
Support negotiation and supplier performance evaluation processes.
Market Analysis & Data-Driven Decision Support
Collect and analyze market trends, customer preferences, competitor activities, and pricing data.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Work closely with Supply Chain, Marketing, Operations, and Sales teams to ensure effective execution of category plans.
Monitoring KPIs and Performance:
Track key performance metrics like sales growth, profit margins, inventory turnover, and supplier service levels.
