Educational Requirements:
∎ BA honors/ Masters with diploma in merchandising/ MBA-Marketing/ Textile
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 5 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
Merchandising
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Monitor sample development and production to meet buyer requirements.
∎ Communicating with Buyer for technical clarification, when required.
∎ Review fit and pre-production & Production samples with the Garment technical department, to ensure that all key comments are followed. Prepare purchase orders & internal order.
∎ Maintain Weekly progress reports, with up to date information on all orders & outstanding issues. Need to proactively inform to head up to date on any exceptions.
∎ Follow up & Coordination with Production, Quality and Commercial Department and on time shipments.
∎ Follow up with planning/production team & ensure shipment move on time.
∎ Monitoring of overall activities of suppliers checking of goods, etc., to ensure smooth production and shipment.
∎ Close follow up of orders, effective use of tools such as spread sheets, order sheet, internally within the team and with buyers within a timeline.
∎ Establish a good relationship with factory to facilitate problem solving.
∎ Overall follow-up, i.e. product development to shipment.
∎ Take care of all aspects of quality from initial to final stage.
∎ Handling Buyer order starting from development to shipment.
∎ Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
∎ Corresponding with production department.
∎ Monitor and check production status.
∎ Concerning with Forwarder, should understand releasing processing for import materials.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Candidates must possess & exhibit strong leadership abilities.
∎ Must be highly energetic, enthusiastic, hard-working, motivated and able to perform under pressure in order to accept this challenging position.
∎ A fine command in written & spoken English with computer knowledge is must.
∎ Should be a team player having good interpersonal skills.
∎ Ability to work under pressure
