Education:
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Textile Engineering
- Master of Science (MSc) in Textile Engineering
Bachelor’s Degree (Textile/Garments discipline preferred).
Master’s/Post-Graduation from a reputed university will be considered an added advantage.

Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in Merchandising within the RMG/Textile industry.
Experience working with international buyers, sourcing offices, buying houses, or export-oriented garment manufacturers.
Strong exposure to woven, knit, sweater, hard goods or multi-product categories.
Proven experience in product development, order execution, and supplier management.
Sound understanding of costing, negotiation, production planning, and shipment management.
Experience in handling European retail customers will be considered an advantage.
Knowledge of compliance requirements and quality management systems is preferred.
Responsibilities & Context:
Position Summary
Service Unit Bangladesh Ltd. is seeking a dynamic, proactive, and result-oriented Merchandiser to join our Bangladesh sourcing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the entire merchandising process from product development to shipment execution, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, quality standards, delivery timelines, and cost targets. The position requires close coordination with buyers, suppliers, factories, and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth order execution and customer satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities
Handle the complete merchandising cycle from product development to final shipment.
Communicate regularly with buyers regarding product development, order status, approvals, and delivery schedules.
Coordinate with factories, suppliers, QA teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely execution of orders.
Follow up on sample development, approvals, lab tests, and production progress.
Negotiate prices and commercial terms with suppliers while maintaining required quality standards.
Monitor order allocation, capacity planning, production timelines, and shipment schedules.
Ensure all customer requirements, technical specifications, and compliance standards are properly implemented.
Analyze costing sheets and ensure product prices remain competitive.
Track critical path activities and proactively identify and resolve production-related issues.
Work closely with Quality Assurance teams to ensure products meet buyer expectations and quality standards.
Coordinate with logistics and shipping teams to ensure on-time deliveries.
Maintain accurate merchandising documentation, reports, and records.
Conduct factory visits when required to monitor production status and support problem-solving initiatives.
Build and maintain strong relationships with buyers, and manufacturing partners.
