  • At least 8 years of experience in senior leadership positions in knit garment manufacturing/export-oriented organizations.

Job Context

The Deputy General Manager (Sales & Marketing) will be responsible for leading the company’s global Sales & Marketing function, driving business growth, expanding international market presence, and strengthening long-term buyer relationships.

The role requires strong commercial acumen along with in-depth knowledge of knit garment industry practices, including merchandising processes, costing, product development, machine operations, wastage management, and buyer expectations, to ensure effective cross-functional collaboration and business execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic Sales & Marketing plans to drive sustainable business growth, increase revenue, and expand global market share in the knitwear export industry.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with international buyers, brands, sourcing offices, and strategic partners to ensure long-term business collaboration.

  • Identify new business opportunities, emerging markets, and potential clients to expand the company’s global customer base.

  • Analyze global market trends, customer requirements, and competitor activities to support strategic decision-making and business planning.

  • Lead product development discussions aligned with buyer expectations and market demand to ensure competitive and commercially viable offerings.

  • Strengthen the company’s brand positioning and corporate image in international markets through effective strategies and buyer engagement.

  • Coordinate closely with merchandising and production teams to ensure smooth execution of orders from inquiry to shipment.

  • Lead pricing negotiations, commercial discussions, and contract finalization with buyers to secure profitable business deals.

  • Set, monitor, and evaluate Sales & Marketing KPIs to ensure performance accountability and target achievement.

  • Manage sales forecasting, sales balancing, and timely preparation of monthly performance reports for senior management.

  • Represent the company at international trade fairs, exhibitions, and buyer meetings to enhance brand visibility and expand business networks.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Sales & Marketing team to build a high-performance and result-driven culture.

  • Prepare and manage annual Sales & Marketing budgets to ensure effective resource utilization and maximum ROI.

  • Report regularly to senior management on sales performance, market insights, and strategic initiatives.

  • Perform additional strategic responsibilities as assigned by management to support organizational objectives.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong expertise in knit garment merchandising practices, costing, product development, machine processes, and wastage management.

  • Proven leadership experience in Sales & Marketing within the knit garments or textile industry, preferably export-oriented.

  • Strong professional network with international apparel buyers, brands, and sourcing offices.

  • Excellent strategic planning, market analysis, and business development capabilities.

  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and manage high-performing teams.

  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced and competitive global business environment.
