A leading Japanese multinational home textile retailer, known for offering affordable, high-quality products and complete interior coordination solutions to enhance everyday living. Through its global supply chain, the Bangladesh Representative Office plays a key role in efficient sourcing and procurement operations from local suppliers.

Role Overview

This role will focus on building and managing relationships with local suppliers, supporting sourcing & procurement activities, and contributing to the smooth operation of the company’s supply chain in Bangladesh. The position is ideal for someone who thrives in an independent, multicultural environment and has a strong interest in working in the Japanese culture.

Job Responsibilities

• Business development with local suppliers.

• Collaborate with suppliers and logistics partners to ensure stable operations and continuous improvement (Procurement-related).

• Identify, research, contact, and organize information on new suppliers.

• Support negotiation and adjustment of trading terms (price, MOQ, delivery time, etc.).

• Maintain supplier information, contracts, and management documents.

• (Preferred) Internal support tasks and administrative assistance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above.

• Minimum 4+ years of experience in new supplier development or relevant procurement/sourcing roles in the Home Textile segment.

• English: Business level (fluent in emails, meetings, and external coordination).

• Japanese: Conversational level (preferred).

• Previous experience working in a Japanese company (in Bangladesh or abroad).

Compensation & Benefits

• Gross Salary: BDT 60,000 – 85,000

• Working Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (including 1-hour lunch break).

• Weekly Off: Friday & Saturday.

• Public Holidays: As per Bangladesh statutory requirements.

• Annual Leave.

• Overtime: Paid according to company regulations.

• Performance Bonus: Twice a year (based on individual and company performance).
