Job Context
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Factory General Manager to lead the overall operations of a Japanese multinational Ready-Made Garments (RMG) manufacturing facility in Bangladesh.
The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence, production efficiency, quality compliance, workforce management, and alignment with Japanese management standards. The role requires strong leadership capabilities, strategic thinking, and proven experience in managing large-scale garment manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise all factory departments, including Knitting, Dyeing, Cutting, Printing, Embroidery, Sewing, Finishing, HR, Commercial, and Merchandising.
Oversee day-to-day factory operations to ensure smooth workflow and achievement of production targets.
Develop and implement operational strategies to improve productivity, efficiency, and overall factory performance.
Identify operational bottlenecks and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce wastage.
Ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, safety regulations, and customer requirements.
Coordinate with Merchandising and Commercial teams to ensure smooth order planning and execution.
Monitor factory costs and resource utilization to maximize operational efficiency.
Optimize manpower, machinery, and production resources to achieve business objectives.
Lead initiatives related to factory expansion, operational improvement, and organizational development.
Requirements
Minimum 10-15 years of experience in factory management within the apparel and textile manufacturing industry.
Experience managing factories outside EPZ will be considered an advantage.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Textile Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration, Management, or a related discipline.
Approximately 40 years of age is preferred.
Residing near Narayanganj or willing to work in the Narayanganj BSCIC area.
Compensation & Benefits
Monthly Salary: BDT. 180,000 - 200,000
