Responsibilities & Context:
Buyer Communication
- Maintain regular contact with buyers to understand requirements, specifications, and timelines.
- Share updates on sampling, production, and shipment status.
Product Development
- Coordinate sample development based on buyer tech packs or design inputs.
- Ensure samples meet quality, fit, and aesthetic expectations.
Order Management
- Receive and confirm garment orders from buyers.
- Prepare internal order sheets and costing breakdowns.
Sourcing and Procurement
- Source raw materials (fabrics, trims, accessories) from suppliers.
- Negotiate prices and lead times with vendors.
Production Planning
- Create production schedules aligned with buyer delivery dates.
- Monitor production progress and resolve bottlenecks.
Quality Assurance
- Ensure quality standards are met during sampling and bulk production.
- Coordinate inspections and testing as required by buyers.
Documentation and Compliance
- Prepare commercial invoices, packing lists, and shipping documents.
- Ensure compliance with buyer and export regulations.
Logistics and Shipment
- Coordinate with freight forwarders and shipping agents.
- Track shipments and ensure timely delivery to buyer destinations.
Costing and Pricing
- Calculate garment costs including fabric, trims, labor, overheads, and margin.
- Submit competitive price offers to buyers.
Problem Solving
- Address production delays, quality issues, or supplier setbacks proactively.
- Maintain contingency plans to meet deadlines.
Team Coordination
- Liaise with production, quality, sourcing, and documentation teams.
- Ensure smooth workflow across departments.
