Educational Requirements:
∎ Medical doctor. Desirable specialization or training in Tropical Medicine or related studies.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Coordinating, assessing and supervising the proper functioning of the applicable medical activities in Goyalmara hospital (OPD, ER, IPD (Neonatology, Paediatrics, Laboratory, referrals and indirectly the BEmONC in coordination with MWAM), according to MSF protocols, standards and procedures and through the correct compilation and analysis of patient files, medical data regarding patients’ health conditions.
∎ Participating in the definition of annual planning in identifying new activities for the hospital, international medical order in ensuring accurate medical standard list (MSL) for the project and in the follow up of the programs in the hospital.
∎ Supervising and ensuring that medical activities objectives under his/her responsibility are achieved, reporting to the technical referent any problem arising in the service.
∎ Ensure and involvement of medical team (Doctors, Nurses, health assistants and other managers) in multidisciplinary rounds, regular mortality audit and respectful patients care in Goyalmara Hospital.
∎ Checking all administrative procedures related to patients’ follow-up (individual card filling, registers, paper exit, discharge, transfers, completion of investigation forms ...) are carried out correctly and according to MSF procedures.
∎ Ensuring an efficient pharmacy stock management for end user units and monitoring the rational prescription and rational use of them. In coordination with the project biomedical service supervising the appropriate use of medical devices and anticipating future needs. Preparing the medical orders needed to implement the medical activities under his/her responsibility, and identifying and reporting to the line manager, non-medical support needs (material, infrastructure, transport, etc.)
∎ Coordinating and monitoring the daily working plan of the team under his/her responsibility (rosters, absent personnel, annual leaves, sick leaves, unpaid leaves ...).
∎ Participating in shifts and replaces a doctor, when necessary
∎ Ensure doctors are doing rounds as soon as they are responsible for the shifts and good communication of the diagnosis, treatment and follow-up system of the patient is given to nurses and health assistants.
∎ Planning and supervising, in close coordination with the HR department, the associated processes (recruitment, training, performance evaluation, development and internal communication) of the staff under his/her responsibility in order to improve staff capabilities and to ensure both the sizing and the amount of knowledge required
∎ Participating in the monthly reports according to guidelines (i.e. SitReps, weekly report, medical statistical reports by ensuring the accuracy of data, etc.).
∎ Involvement of the hospital management team (Hospital Logs, NAMs, NTS,IPC Sup, MWAM, Paediatrician, Lab Sup,…) in the Hospital Management Committee.
∎ MSF Section/Context Specific Accountabilities:
∎ Shares experitice and guidance to the rest of the medical team, specially support the junior staffs (with formal and on the job trainning according to the needs).
∎ Ensuring implementation on referral system, and the referral criteria are respected.
∎ Ensuring good collaboration with the managers of other departments (MWAM, NAMs, Log Hospital,…) in problems management and patient care involment.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 18 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Essential 3 years working experience related to the diploma/degree and previous experience in MSF in the field as Medical Doctor.
∎ Essential mission language, local language desirable.
∎ Essential computer literacy (word, excel and internet).
