Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Lead the sewing maintenance team to ensure 100% readiness of sewing lines for smooth production operations.
∎ Plan, implement, and monitor preventive and breakdown maintenance schedules for all types of sewing machines (e.g., Lockstitch, Overlock, Flatlock, Bartack, Buttonhole, Button Attach, Kansai Special, etc.).
∎ Ensure quick and efficient troubleshooting of machine breakdowns to reduce downtime.
∎ Monitor machine performance and initiate corrective actions for continuous improvement.
∎ Oversee the installation, setup, and adjustment of sewing machines for new styles and processes.
∎ Maintain inventory of critical spare parts and ensure minimum stock levels.
∎ Analyse machine performance reports and initiate proactive maintenance programs.
∎ Train and develop technical staff on new machinery handling, maintenance procedures, and best practices.
∎ Ensure compliance with factory safety, health, and environmental standards.
∎ Collaborate with the Production and Industrial Engineering (IE) departments to optimise machine layout and productivity.
∎ Prepare maintenance budgets, reports, and cost-saving initiatives.
∎ Implement lean maintenance practices and cost-control measures.
∎ Coordinate with sewing machine suppliers and service vendors for technical support and spares.
∎ We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Manager/Sr. Manager - Maintenance (Sewing) to lead the sewing maintenance team at our garments manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate must have strong technical expertise in sewing machine maintenance, preventive planning, troubleshooting, and team management to ensure seamless production support.
