Job Responsibilities:
∎ Prepare annual safeguarding and PSEA action plan and implement accordingly
∎ Ensure achievements of activities, coordinate with respective team/person and support in case of any challenges
∎ Prepare annual budget and monitor budget expenditure as planned
∎ Coordinate with the sector/ unit leads and ensure the achievement of the planned activities
∎ Prepare safeguarding training plan, training modules, handouts and learning materials and conduct training / sessions as required
∎ Ensure ToT to the Champions and master trainer groups to roll out learning sessions
∎ Assess training quality and learnings, collect feedback and suggest necessary improvement.
∎ Develop monthly and quarterly training plans, modules, or schedules in collaboration with sector/ unit leads and other respective/ concerned authorities
∎ Coordinate reporting of safeguarding and SEA cases on an urgent basis and contact with concerned authorities for the effective arrangement of enquiry process.
∎ Coordinate with the HRD for ensuring safe HR functions including staff recruitment, ref. check, on boarding sessions and so on.
∎ Initiate open discussion forums with the various levels of staff including the front line women staff to know any issues of safeguarding behaviours.
∎ Develop and collect necessary awareness materials (print, audio-video) as necessary and disseminate them effectively in all levels
∎ Develop various SoP, guidelines and tools as required for ensuring safeguarding practices and culture
∎ Participate various internal meetings, relevant external forums and PSEA networks as suggested by supervisor and represent updates/practices
∎ Collect all evidence (picture of the events, summary reports, training participants list and submit to donors as required
∎ Prepare training report, case report (monthly/quarterly/annual) and activities progress reports periodically and submit to the supervisor and HCMP management.
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 5 years of experience in safeguarding, child safeguarding and PSEA activities and training conduction.
∎ Knowledge of safeguarding and PSEA implementation, policy and processes, coordination with multi sectoral functions, materials development and training facilitation.
∎ Knowledge of people management and organizational structures, mechanisms including HR
∎ Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with stakeholders in a sensitive environment.
∎ Effective communication and presentation skills.
∎ Have computer skills with all Microsoft Office programs, Google doc. (MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
∎ Excellent influencing, negotiating, and communication skills.
∎ Excellent organization, and coordination skills.
∎ Sound track record in ethical and values practices
∎ Prompt initiator, self- independent, self –motivated, sensitive and responsive to people
∎ Demonstrated ability to think strategically, prioritize and meet deadlines in a complex and challenging environment; must be culturally sensitive.
∎ Ability to operate in a complex organization, across functions and work on own initiative and collaboratively as a part of diverse teams.
