Educational Requirements:
∎ B.Pharm (Hons) / M. Pharm / M.Sc. in Chemistry or Biochemistry along with experiences in pharmaceutical product development.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 10 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Lead the organization in research for new pharmaceutical product development, product enhancements and product redesign.
∎ Evaluates the potential and practicality of products in development and relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
∎ Originate new products in concert with customer needs and business model.
∎ Select correct design concepts and fundamental technology used for new products or improvement for existing ones.
∎ Oversee key projects, processes and performance reports, data and analysis.
∎ Develops and implements methods and procedures for monitoring projects such as preparation of records of expenditures and research findings, progress reports, and staff conferences, in order to inform management of current status of each project.
∎ Negotiate contracts with consulting firms or other relevant parties to perform research, product development or other applicable studies or support, if needed.
∎ Plan and formulate aspects of research and development proposals such as objective or purpose of project, applications that can be utilized from findings, costs of project, and equipment and human resource requirements.
∎ Performs a variety of routine sample preparation and analysis procedures to quantitatively measure pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical compounds in a variety of formulations and/or biological matrices for stability and analytical testing.
∎ Trains on routine operation, maintenance and theory of analytical instrumentation, SOPs and regulatory guidelines.
∎ Ensure the review and compilation of results and data comparison against SOP acceptance criteria, methodology, protocol and product specifications.
∎ Ensure maintenance of laboratory notebooks with adequate information and completion of all laboratory documentation in clear and accurate language and according to SOP by staff members.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 40 years
∎ 10 years experiences in pharmaceutical product development at reputed scientific laboratory.
∎ Candidates with experience in developing diabetic products will be given preference.
∎ Ability to perform successfully under pressure while prioritizing and handling multiple projects or activities.
∎ Must have a detail understanding of laboratory products and methods.
∎ Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
∎ Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
∎ Process orientation: Demonstrated ability to develop repeatable processes or improve existing processes in and out of product development.
∎ Open and collaborative style: Must be comfortable working in an environment where ideas are shared and challenged.
∎ Candidates must be proficient in both verbal and written English.
∎ Excellent IT skills - including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
∎ Candidates must be able to work independently and under time pressure.
