Requirements:
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Lead development of new products in line with customer requirements and market trends.
∎ Collaborate with design, R&D, and production teams to develop prototypes in printing, embroidery, and narrow fabrics.
∎ Analyze material selection, technical feasibility, and production methods to ensure scalable solutions.
∎ Translate customer specs and tech packs into functional, manufacturable samples.
∎ Prepare detailed cost breakdowns for all new developments and existing styles.
∎ Analyze raw material, labor, machinery usage, utility, wastage, and overhead costs.
∎ Compare supplier quotations and negotiate prices for key raw materials (e.g., yarns, inks, threads).
∎ Work with finance and procurement to ensure product cost alignment with margin targets.
∎ Support pricing strategies based on volume, market segment, and customer category (OEM/ODM/Private Label).
∎ Develop and cost techniques including Offset Printing, Sublimation, Heat Transfer, and Label Printing.
∎ Coordinate with printing vendors to optimize setup cost, run efficiency, and yield rates.
∎ Oversee development and cost analysis for embroidery designs, including thread types, stitch density, backing materials, and machine time.
∎ Liaise with in-house or outsourced embroidery units for digitizing and sampling.
∎ Lead design and development of narrow fabric products (Jacquard, Crochet, Needle Loom Elastics, Drawstrings, Woven Labels).
∎ Evaluate loom time, yarn usage, dyeing processes, and finishing costs.
∎ Work closely with production, merchandising, quality control, procurement, and logistics teams.
∎ Provide accurate and timely costing data during customer presentations and RFQs.
∎ Attend buyer meetings and support sampling with technical and cost-related inputs.
∎ Product Development:
