Experience:
Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from a recognized university.
Minimum 3 years of practical experience in livestock and commercial farm management.
Experience in dairy and/or beef cattle farm management will receive preference.
Strong knowledge of modern livestock production and farm management.
Excellent leadership, planning, and supervisory skills.
Sound knowledge of dairy and beef cattle management.
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and under pressure.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and digital record management.
High level of integrity, accountability, and commitment.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and patient counseling skills.

Job Context: NDP Agro Farm, a concern of National Development Programme (NDP), is looking for a dynamic, experienced, and result-oriented professional for the position of Manager (Livestock & Farm) to oversee livestock operations and ensure efficient farm management.
Key Responsibilities:
Livestock Health Management
Monitor the health status of livestock and ensure timely diagnosis and treatment in consultation with veterinarians.
Plan and implement vaccination, deworming, disease prevention, and biosecurity programs.
Ensure animal welfare in accordance with modern livestock management practices.
Breeding and Reproductive Management
Supervise artificial insemination (AI) and breeding activities.
Monitor reproductive performance and maintain breeding records.
Implement herd improvement programs to enhance productivity.
Feed and Nutrition Management
Prepare balanced feeding plans according to age, weight, and production requirements.
Ensure quality control, procurement, storage, and efficient utilization of feed, fodder, silage, and supplements.
Monitor feed conversion efficiency and minimize wastage.
Farm Operations
Plan, organize, and supervise all daily farm activities.
Ensure proper cleanliness, sanitation, ventilation, and maintenance of livestock housing.
Maintain strict biosecurity measures to minimize disease risks.
Production Management
Monitor daily milk and livestock production.
Analyze production performance and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
Ensure quality standards for all farm products.
Marketing and Business Development
Coordinate the marketing and sales of livestock, milk, and other farm products.
Build and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, and business partners.
Explore opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
Human Resource & Financial Management
Supervise farm employees, assign duties, monitor, and provide necessary training.
Prepare and manage farm budgets, operational costs, and financial records.
Ensure effective utilization of farm resources to maximize profitability.
Record Keeping and Reporting
Maintain complete records of livestock health, vaccination, breeding, production, mortality, medicine usage, and inventory.
Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual operational reports for management.
Utilize digital record-keeping systems where applicable.
Perform any other duties assigned by the higher authority.
Salary consolidated BDT 35,000-40,000 per month, depending on qualifications and experience.
