Responsibilities & Context:

BRAC is an international development organisation founded in Bangladesh in 1972 that partners globally with over 100 million people living with inequality and poverty to create opportunities to realise their potential.

The Project Officer, Community Center Manager will be responsible for community self-management support and community engagement. Also Responsible for Community Center maintenance, infrastructure development, Liaison with CIC and other agencies, Reporting, Documentation and Supervise Center volunteers in program activities.

  • Supervise Community center

  • Delegate responsibilities to Community centre team

  • Be responsible for Community centre management & effective community engagement

  • Ensure of refugee from all blocks and age groups visits CC daily

  • Monitoring the Centre needs of the community and providing life-saving messaging/ and also initiating awareness session when necessary

  • Sharing updated report from all the community center weekly and monthly

  • Keep coordination with other service provider and CIC office

  • Ensuring regular presence in CIC meeting and camp related activities doing by CIC office or site management team

  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment

  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action

  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so
