Educational Requirements:

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensure internal control over financial management in the field office with complete and accurate documentation and enable smooth programme implementation
∎ Ensure budget for field offices
∎ Prepare donor and monthly analytical report for the field management and donor
∎ Ensure smooth payment to staff, suppliers and partners according to the agreed deadline and compliance with the relevant policies, NGO Affairs Bureau rules and taxation rules
∎ Ensure bank and cash reconciliation and internal control for payment from bank and cash
∎ Provide high quality and effective support and resource services to staff of the organisation
∎ Contribute the process implementation with quality
∎ Rectify transaction and ensure donor compliance.
∎ Supervise and coordinate project wise chart of account.
∎ Supervise budget officer to ensure project wise burn rate.
∎ Ensure program and staff budget is charged accordingly.
∎ Supervise budget and reporting officer to ensure compliance.
∎ Reconcile and coordinate donor report.
∎ Need to visit field office occasionally
∎ Coordinate with program on various budget and charging issues.
∎ Maintain and comply BRAC Internal policy and guidelines to implement smooth project operation
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 3 years' of relevant work experience in budgeting, accounting, financial management and compliance. Minimum 2 years' experience in supervisory role in NGO background
∎ Knowledge of current taxation laws
∎ Good understanding on internal control process
∎ Knowledge in dealing with government offices and local suppliers
∎ Knowledge on financial management and budgeting
∎ Sound knowledge on MS Office package and different communication software
∎ Strong analytical skills
∎ Excellent communication skills
∎ Good understanding of development work in the Bangladesh programme
∎ Excellent language skills both English and Bengali
