Educational Requirements:
∎ B. Sc. in Chemical Engineering/ M. Sc. or B. Sc. in Chemistry.
Experience Requirements:
∎ 3 to 5 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Carry out the work based on procedures and instruction of analysis in the laboratory or on-site and recording the analysis data then interpreting the result into the report, reviews and summaries.
∎ Conduct quality control test and assurance on every analysis procedure.
∎ Ensuring on-line instrumentation devices performance is properly running by comparing the number with a laboratory analysis result.
∎ Conduct quality assurance for on-line instrumentation device analyzer by fulfilling the chemical reagents and operation requirement of the on-line analyzer.
∎ Assist Chemical Engineer to do a periodical review of Procedure and Instruction.
∎ Ensure reliability and performance of laboratory instrument in order to support the sustainable plant operation.
∎ Undertake fault analysis and rectification, input data technical reports and to liaise with other departments regarding technical problem in case any problem or plant disturbances.
∎ Recording retrieved data of chemical and reagents and analyze it to prepare report of laboratory stock management.
∎ Maintaining and optimizing chemical consumption and records to prepare report of chemical stock management.
∎ Liaisons with other sections in related to chemistry analysis issues (Operation Shift Group, Performance, Maintenance Group, Procurement).
∎ Ensures chemistry analysis scheduling service is provided and acknowledged by shift operation personnel.
∎ Establish the important of environmental mindset in compliance with National and global environmental standard.
∎ Realize accident free power plant in compliance with global standard safety guideline during doing the chemical analysis activities
∎ Equipment's/System to be covered:
∎ Pretreatment System, Hypochlorite Plant, Sea water Desalination System, SWRO System, Backwash, UF System, DM water System, Water & Steam Sampling System, Condensate Polishing System, Chemical Dosing System, Boiler Make-up water System, Alkali metering & Acid Metering and Exchanger Regeneration System, Effluent treatment System, Sanitary sewage, Treatment, FGD Absorber System.
Additional Requirements:
∎ 3 to 5 yrs of experience in Power Plant not less than 210 MW.
∎ Must have knowledge of the water, steam analysis and procedures.
∎ Able to certify as a water and waste-water operator and to fulfil all legal requirements.
∎ Able to operate a personal computer with typical software.
∎ Understanding of health, safety & environmental issues.
∎ Knowledge of identification, classification and disposal of waste.
∎ Willing to work on shift basis regardless to holidays or public holidays.
