HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER

Bangladesh Operations | Management Position

This position reports directly to Executive Management at our Global Headquarters in Toronto, Canada.

Today, Premium Sweets proudly operates 13 locations across Bangladesh, 5 locations in Toronto, Canada, and 1 location in New York, USA, with our Global Headquarters located in Toronto, Canada.

As we continue our expansion across Bangladesh and international markets, we are looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager to help build the next generation of leaders for our Bangladesh operations.

This is not a traditional HR position.

We are looking for an experienced recruitment professional who understands the Bangladesh market, knows where talented professionals work, and has the ability to identify, approach and recruit outstanding functional managers.

 

Position Purpose

Reporting directly to Executive Management in Canada, the Human Resources Manager will lead recruitment, talent acquisition and HR operations for our Bangladesh business.

The successful candidate will play a key role in building a strong management team, strengthening HR practices and supporting the Company’s continued growth.

Your success will not be measured by how many people you recruit.

Your success will be measured by the strength, professionalism and long-term success of the management team you help build for Premium Sweets.

 

Your Mission

To recruit outstanding management professionals, build a professional HR department and establish practical HR systems that support the Company’s long-term growth.

 

What We Expect During Your First Six Months

Successfully identify, approach, evaluate and recruit experienced professionals for the following key positions:

  • Retail Operations Manager

  • Restaurant Operations Manager

  • Finance Manager

  • Marketing Manager

  • Export Manager

  • Supply Chain & Procurement Manager

  • Food & Beverage Development Manager

Build the team first. While doing so, document every process so future recruitment becomes easier and more professional.

 

Key Responsibilities

Executive Recruitment

Lead the recruitment of experienced functional managers using professional networking, executive search, industry referrals and modern recruitment methods.

Employer Branding

Position Premium Sweets as an employer of choice capable of attracting experienced professionals from leading organizations in Bangladesh.

Recruitment Systems

Develop practical recruitment procedures, interview processes, candidate evaluation methods and onboarding practices that support future growth.

HR Operations

Support day-to-day HR activities including recruitment, onboarding, employee records, HR policies and compliance with Bangladesh Labour Law.

Management Support

Work closely with Executive Management in Canada in identifying, evaluating and recruiting professionals who align with Premium Sweets’ culture, values and long-term vision.

We are not looking for a traditional HR administrator.

We are looking for an experienced recruitment professional with a proven track record of identifying and recruiting outstanding talent.

The ideal candidate should:

  • Have successfully recruited experienced professionals and management personnel.

  • Possess a strong professional network within Bangladesh.

  • Be experienced in executive search and headhunting.

  • Understand how to evaluate leadership potential, competence and cultural fit.

  • Be proactive, resourceful and result-oriented.

  • Enjoy building organizations by building outstanding teams.

The Successful Candidate Will

Know where talented people are, know how to approach them professionally, know how to earn their confidence, know how to convince them to join Premium Sweets, know how to evaluate whether they are the right fit, and most importantly, know how to build a high-performing management team rather than simply filling positions.

 

Preferred Background

The ideal candidate will have experience recruiting managerial positions within Restaurant Chains, Café Chains, Premium Retail Groups, FMCG, Food Manufacturing & Export, Hospitality, or Consumer Products Import & Distribution. Through this experience, the successful candidate should have developed a strong professional network and the ability to identify, approach and recruit outstanding functional managers.

 

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management or a related discipline (MBA preferred).

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years in a managerial role.

  • Proven success in recruitment and talent acquisition.

  • Strong knowledge of Bangladesh Labour Law and HR best practices.

  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Bangla.

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office.

  • Experience working with international management will be considered an advantage.
